About me

I was recently selected to contest the next general election as a candidate for Fine Gael.

A Rathcormac native, I am the joint youngest (twin brother) in a family of four children. The son of Brendan and Jane O’Driscoll, I now live in Fermoy. I am a post-primary teacher of politics, history and geography.

I was elected to Cork County Council in May 2009 to represent the areas of Fermoy and Mitchelstown and had the honour of being Mayor of Fermoy in 2009/2010.

I am an active member of the GAA, being a proud member of the Bride Rovers club and a referee for the East Cork, Cork County and Munster GAA Boards. I am also a member of Scouting Ireland and Canoeing Ireland.

I will be working alongside my Fine Gael colleagues Anthony Barry, Kay Dawson, Noel McCathy, Susan McCarthy, Gerard Murphy, John Paul O’Shea and Sinead Sheppard in Cork County Council and with Minister of State David Stanton, TD.

I want to hear from you, to listen to your concerns and ambitions for this country and your community. Please do not hesitate to contact me on any local or national issues that you would like to discuss.
